Summer Course in Belgium
Congratulations to Ms. Kanaya Mahanti and Mr. Debdorshi Malakar of Rural Management Department (Batch 2017-19) who will participate in the summer course ‘Europe: Diversity and Migration’ (25 June – 6 July 2018) at Stadscampus, University of Antwerp, Belgium.
Gender Sensitization Workshop
Xavier Institute of Social Service had conducted a “Workshop on Gender Sensitization” from 2nd May to 4th May,2018 under the guidance of Director Fr. Dr. Alexius Ekka S.J. The workshop was conducted for the Staff members, for the Internal Complaint committee members of XISS and XIPT and also for the Faculty members of XISS. Mrs Sunita Tawani was the resource person to facilitate the workshop.
Total number of seats available in Two Years Full-time Post Graduate Diploma Programmes in Management (PGDM) are seventy five (75) each in Human Resource Management and Rural Management and sixty (60) each in Information Technology, Finance and Marketing Management specialization. Out of the above fifty per cent seats are reserved for SC/ST and Christian candidates.
Eligibility for Admission
Minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities. However preference will be given to Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Management and Computer Science graduates and candidates with relevant work experience.

The Placement Process
For the convenience of the prospective employers, the outline of the Campus Placement Programme is given below:
Campus Placement at XISS takes place in two phases:
- Phase– I: From end of October to the first week of December.
- Phase–II: From second week of January (Onwards).
For the Final Placement Batch of 2017-2019 Phase I will start on 26th October 2018 and continues till 5th December 2018. Phase II starts on 5th January 2019 and continues till 30th March 2019

Hotel suiting to every budget are located within 0.5 KM to 5.0 KMs from the institue campus. The travel desk at the placement cell can make bookings on your behalf.
